Hey Y'all, I'm Ramsey..

I'm a born-and-raised Texan with a passion for movement, but I wasn't always the person you'd expect to find leading a yoga or pilates class.

Growing up, I wasn't naturally athletic. I walked the mile in PE, struggled to do a single push-up, and was usually more interested in chatting on the soccer field than scoring goals. Everything changed in seventh grade when I joined the swim team. For the first time, movement became something I genuinely enjoyed, even if I still dreaded dry land days (iykyk).

In college, I discovered rock climbing, yoga, and strength training, and something clicked. I found confidence in movement, not because I was the strongest or the fastest, but because I finally found activities that made me feel capable and connected to my body.

After moving to Austin at 21, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training through My Vinyasa Practice. I wasn't immediately ready to teach, so I continued into the 300-hour program before finally stepping into the studio.

My first teaching opportunity wasn't exactly convenient. I commuted by train from Austin to Fort Worth twice a week to teach at Summit Climbing while working a full-time remote sales job. Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of that season because it reminded me how much I loved sharing movement with others.

Eventually, I joined Crux Climbing Center, where I built meaningful relationships with students and continued growing both as a teacher and a climber.

A year later, after unexpectedly losing my sales job, I decided it was time to learn something new. I completed my first 250-hour Pilates certification through BODYBAR, began teaching in Bee Cave, and almost immediately enrolled in Balanced Body's comprehensive 520-hour certification.

That year was full of early mornings, long teaching days, lesson planning, continuing education, and convincing my (now) husband to be my practice client more times than he probably wanted. It was challenging, rewarding, and completely worth it.

After welcoming our sweet daughter into the world, my husband gave me the space to dream, create, and build something that reflected everything I believe movement should be.

That's how Ramsey Movement came to life.

Today, I help people move with greater confidence through yoga, pilates, mobility, and strength training in a supportive, encouraging environment. My sessions are personalized for every client because no two people move or experience life the same way.

Whether you're hoping to stand a little taller, recover from the demands of everyday life, build strength, or simply reconnect with your body, there's a place for you here.

I'd love to be part of your journey.

Let's move with intention.
